Sivavakkiyam means the sayings of Shiva. They are the Tamil songs of Sivavakkiyar, a Siddhar who spoke against empty ritual, caste, and worship that stays on the outside. He points to what is already within, in the breath and in the five-letter name. Read them in Tamil, in English, or with both in front of you.
