An unfading flower blooms on the tongue of a bee's song. It runs, stands, takes a form, and blooms as the letter u. After dancing and dancing, the limb too is crossed so as to be held inside. What then stands gathered and goes about is the very form in which the teacher was. The guru's shape is this roaming gathering, and the unfading flower is the letter it blooms into.

The teaching

The unfading lotus of the Sahasrara blossoms within, while the mystical bee of the vital breath hums its unstruck melody on the tip of the tongue (in subtle khechari mudra). The surging prana courses upward, stabilizes in stillness, and blooms into the sacred vowel 'U' (உகாரம்)—the maternal womb of cosmic sound and divine grace. Ecstatically dancing through the subtle chakras, the practitioner transcends physical limitation and gathers all awareness inward. Harmonized in unbroken non-dual communion, the Siddha roams freely in the world, embodying the very form and presence of the primordial Satguru. The enlightened seeker no longer searches for an external master; they become the living embodiment of the Guru.

Verse 386

  1. 1Vittadi viraiththadho avveerurukki ninradho
  2. 2Ettininra siivanum iireezhlogam kandadho?

  4. 4Vattaviidu arindhapeergal vaanadheevar aavaro.

Three compressed questions come first. Did the foot leave and hurry? Did that root stand melted? Did the life that stood at eight, or stood cast aside, see the fourteen worlds? Does a disc-like form shine in Sadashiva? Then the sting: the people who have known the round house, will they become the gods of the sky? Knowing the inner house is set against a promotion into heaven, and the question leaves the promotion looking doubtful.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar interrogates the stages of yogic ascent with sharp Siddha irony. Did the vital breath hasten upward from the root, melting the psychic knot at the base? Did the individual soul, formerly confined to the eightfold subtle body (புரியட்டகம்), expand to perceive the totality of the fourteen cosmic worlds? Does it behold the plate-like radiant orb of Sadashiva's luminous presence at the crown? Sivavakkiyar then delivers the sting: will those who have mastered the secret circular house (வட்ட வீடு / the cranial Sahasrara sphere) merely be demoted to become petty celestial gods (வானதேவர்)? Celestial deities in svarga are still bound to cosmic rebirth. The Siddha who realizes the circular house transcends all heavens and gods, merging directly into the unconditioned Absolute.

Verse 387

  1. 1Vaanavar niraindhasodhi maanidak karuvilee
  2. 2Vaanadheevar aththanaikkul vandhadaivar vaanavar

  4. 4Vaanelaam niraindhamannu maanikkangal aanavee.

The light that sky-dwellers fill is located in the human embryo. Inside all of that, the sky-gods will arrive, the sky-dwellers themselves. After the sky-realm and the earth-realm know the round house, they become rubies that fill the whole sky and endure. The gods' brightness is already in the womb, and the ruby is what remains once both realms know the inner house. Heaven is rearranged as a stone that lasts.

The teaching

The glorious Light that celestial gods inhabit does not belong exclusively to distant heavens; it is fully embedded within the human embryo (மானிடக் கரு) at conception. All the gods and cosmic forces are internalized within the human microcosm. Once the upper celestial realm (the cranial Sahasrara) and the lower earthly realm (the root Muladhara) are united through knowledge of the circular cranial house (வட்ட வீடு), the entire universe is perceived as an enduring constellation of luminous rubies. The physical body itself is transmuted into a radiant, indestructible vessel of divine consciousness, fulfilling the Siddha ideal of spiritual and bodily transfiguration.

Verse 388

  1. 1Pannirandu kaalniruththi panjavannam utridin
  2. 2Manniyee velikkulninru veeridaththu amarndhadhum

  4. 4Panniunni aayndhavar parappirammam aanadhee.

Twelve feet are set down, and the five colors are reached. Something endures, stands inside the open, and sits in another place. In the place that is the head, life will stand and move. The person who has recited, thought, and searched has become the supreme Brahman. The line states that becoming as a completed fact, after the feet, the colors, the open, and the head have been occupied.

The teaching

Beholding the radiant inner Light and hearing the unstruck celestial sound (நாதம்) reverberating in the depths of purified awareness, the yogi attains supreme focus. Along the congested, hidden threshold of the central channel, the vital breath (வாசி / Vasi) surges and stabilizes in perfect equilibrium. Utilizing the spinal column (தண்டு / Merudanda) as an alchemical conduit, the adept lovingly guides the prana upward to drink the sweet ambrosial nectar (அமுது) cascading from the lunar sphere. By mastering this inward art, ordinary human beings shatter their mortality and unlock the supreme cranial portal (கபால வாசல் / Brahmarandhra), entering the realm of deathless liberation.

Verse 389

  1. 1Uchchagandu kangalgatti unmaigandadhu evvidam?
  2. 2Machchumaali kaikkulee maanidam kalappireel

  4. 4Pachchaimaalum iisanum paraththadhee sivaayamee.

The crown has been seen and the eyes have been bound, and the line asks where the truth was seen. If the human being is mixed into the upstairs house, even the gate that has become leftover food, the எச்சில் the purity rules recoil from, will turn into the one enjoyment. Green Mal and Isan are named together, and what spread from them is Sivayama. The defiled gate and the two gods are brought to the same name.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar urges embodied souls to awaken and directly perceive the cranial gateway (கபால வாசல் / Brahmarandhra) instead of lingering in spiritual slumber. Consuming the cascading lunar nectar of immortality (அமுது நீர்), all mental turbulence, emotional agitations, and bodily cravings subside into deep serenity. Those blessed mystics who behold the primordial, boundless Void (பண்டுகண்ட பாழ்வெளி) and the all-pervading Supreme Light dwell forever at the sacred, liberating feet of Shiva (கழலடிக்கண்). They achieve the deathless state of timeless communion, beyond all fear of rebirth.

Verse 390

A good song is placed in the mouth, in a compressed phrase that joins the syllable to a hide or a sound. A tank is set at the temple, and something dries on that branch. A body has ஆய் placed in it, a life has the beginningless placed in it, and a fire has the wind placed in it. What grew from all these placings is Sivayama. Mouth, temple, body, life, wind, and fire are the soil the name grows in.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar contrasts mere external religious practice with internal realization. Chanting pious hymns with the vocal mouth is only external noise unless rooted in the subtle vibration of the sacred syllables. Constructing brick temple edifices and digging ceremonial bathing tanks (கோயில், வாவி) is futile; like water placed in an unbaked pot on an exposed branch, these external monuments dry up and crumble with time. The delicate physical body formed in the womb is mortal, but the soul within is beginningless (அனாதி). When the inner fire (வன்னி / Kundalini) is fanned by the regulated vital breath (வாயு / Vasi), consciousness expands and matures into the all-encompassing reality of Sivayanama. The true temple is the living body where the internal flame burns.
