ஆழ்ந்த கருத்துரை

சிற்சபையாகிய அம்பலத்தை வெறும் இன்பமயமான, மென்மையான புற இடமாக மட்டுமே சுருக்கிப் பார்க்கும் பொதுப் பார்வையைச் சிவவாக்கியர் தகர்க்கிறார். அம்பலம் என்பது பிரபஞ்சத்தின் முழுமையான அகண்ட உணர்வு வெளி: அது சர்வத்தையும் மௌனமாய் சாட்சியாய் நின்று நோக்கும் தத்துவமும், பரமனின் ஆனந்தக் கூத்தும், சம்ஹார காலத்தின் பயங்கரமான கோர தாண்டவமும், ஆதி வாக்கான நாதமும், மூலாதாரக் குண்டலினி வன்னியும் (நெருப்பு), மாயையை எரிக்கும் ஞானக் கோபமுமாய் திகழ்கிறது. இவ்வாறு முரண்பாடுகளாகத் தோன்றும் அத்தனை இயற்கை விதிகளும் சர்வ சங்கார-சிருஷ்டி இயக்கங்களும் எந்தப் பரவெளியில் அடங்குகின்றனவோ, அந்த உணர்வுப் பெருவெளியே 'சிவாய' எனும் உண்மை நிலை என்பதைச் சித்தர் தெளிவுபடுத்துகிறார்.

The hall is named again, this time by what happens in it. What stood and watched is the hall, and so is the hall where the supreme one dances. The dance that stood, the dreadful, the spoken word, fire, and wrath are each called the hall. What has become clear is Sivaya. Fierce things are not cleaned out of the picture before the mantra is named. Seeing, dancing, speech, burning, and anger share one space, and clarity is what that space comes to.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar explodes conventional, sanitized definitions of the sacred "Ambalam" (the cosmic dancing space). The Hall is not merely a tranquil shrine of sweet hymns; it is the totality of cosmic consciousness in all its dynamic, fierce, and contradictory aspects. It is the silent witness that observes (பார்த்து நின்றது), the ecstatic dance of creation (கூத்து), the terrifying abyss of dissolution (கோரம்), the manifest primal Word (வார்த்தை), the consuming inner fire of Kundalini (வன்னி), and divine destructive wrath (சீற்றம்). The Absolute cannot be confined to gentle pieties—It embraces the terrible and the sublime alike. When the seeker's awareness expands to synthesize these terrifying and wondrous cosmic energies, all dualistic conflicts dissolve, revealing the unified, clarified truth of Sivaya.

1சென்று சென்று இடந்தொறும் சிறந்தசெம்பொன் அம்பலம்
2அன்றும்இன்றும் நின்றதோர் அனாதியான அம்பலம்
3என்றும் என்றும் இருப்பதோர் இறுதியான அம்பலம்

செம்பொன் அம்பலம் என்பது புவியியல் எல்லைகளுக்குள் அமைந்த ஏதோவொரு புறக் கோயில் அன்று; ஞானக் கண் திறந்து பார்க்கும் மெய்யடியார் எங்கு சென்றாலும், அண்டசராசரங்களின் ஒவ்வோர் அணுவிலும் அந்த ஞானப் பொன்னம்பலம் வியாபித்து நிற்கிறது. அது உலகத் தோற்றத்திற்கு முன்பே அனாதியாய் நின்றதும், நிகழ்காலத்தில் சாட்சியாய் விளங்குவதும், பிரபஞ்ச ஒடுக்கத்திற்குப் பின்னும் என்றென்றும் சாகாவரமாய் நிலைத்து நிற்பதுமான நித்தியப் பெருவெளியாகும். சிதறி ஓடும் மனதையும் பிராணனையும் அந்த ஆதிவெளியோடு இடைவிடாது ஒன்றி ஒன்றித் தியானித்து லயிக்கச் செய்யும் போது, இதயக் குகைக்குள் மறைந்திருந்த சிவாய எனும் பேரின்ப ஜோதி பிரகாசமாய் வெளிப்பட்டு விளங்கும்.

Place and time are both refused as limits. Go on to every spot, and the excellent hall of red gold is there. It stood yesterday and today, and it is without beginning. It remains for ever and ever, and it is the end. Inside what stood by joining and joining, the printed ஒனிந்ததே, what lay hidden there, is Sivaya. The hall is not a shrine reached by travel. Beginning and end are both given to it, and the mantra is what lies in the joining.

The teaching

The resplendent Golden Hall (செம்பொன் அம்பலம்) is not a physical monument located in a single geographical town. Wherever the awakened seeker turns, in every dimension and particle of space, this immaculate Hall of Consciousness is fully present. It is beyond the tyranny of time—it stood before the dawn of the universe (அனாதி), endures throughout the present, and remains as the ultimate reality when all forms dissolve. By continuously aligning and merging the inward breath and focused attention with this timeless presence (ஒன்றி ஒன்றி நின்று), the seeker discovers that which has been secretly veiled within the heart: the self-effulgent, all-pervading vibration of Sivaya.

Verse 415

1தந்தையாய் தருமம்நீ சகலதே வதையும்நீ
2சிந்துநீ தெளிவும்நீ சித்திமுத்தி தானும்நீ
3விந்துநீ விளைவுநீ மேலதாய் வேதம்நீ
4எந்தைநீ இறைவன்நீ என்னை ஆண்ட ஈசனே.

ஆழ்ந்த கருத்துரை

அத்துவிதப் பரவசத்தின் சிகரத்தில் நின்று சிவவாக்கியர் உள்ளுறை இறைவனைத் தன் அகக்கண்ணால் கண்டு பாடும் பூரண சரணாகதிப் பாடல் இதுவாகும். இறைவன் என்பவன் எங்கோ தூரத்தில் உள்ளவன் அல்லன்; அவனே பாசமிக்க தந்தை, பிரபஞ்சத்தை இயக்கும் தர்ம நெறி, முப்பத்து முக்கோடி தேவதைகள், ஓடும் ஜீவநதி, தெளிந்த உள்ளுணர்வு, அஷ்டமா சித்திகள் மற்றும் முக்திப் பேறு யாவும் அவனேயாவான். சிருஷ்டியின் மூலமான விந்துவும், கன்மங்களின் விளைவும், வேதங்களை எல்லாம் கடந்த அதீத மெய்ப்பொருளும் அவனே. இத்தகைய சர்வவியாபியான பரம்பொருள், என் சொந்தத் தந்தையாய், இறைவனாய் என் உடலிலும் உயிரிலும் குடிகொண்டு என்னை ஆட்கொண்ட ஈசனாகவே திகழ்கிறான் என்று சித்தர் தன்னுள் சிவத்தைக் காண்கிறார்.

The address turns tender and leaves nothing out. Father, right order, and every deity are you. So are the stream, the clarity, and attainment and liberation themselves. So are the bindu, the ripening, and the Veda as what stands above. The last line comes close: my father, the Lord, the Isa who ruled me. Nothing in the list is offered as a figure to decode later. One person is being named as law, seed, scripture, and release, and then spoken to directly.

The teaching

A majestic, intimate hymn of Advaitic surrender and universal identification. Sivavakkiyar addresses the indwelling Lord not as a distant mythological monarch, but as the totality of existence: He is the loving father, the cosmic moral law (தருமம்), all celestial deities, the flowing river of life, the clarity of spiritual intuition, occult mastery (சித்தி), and final liberation (முத்தி). He is the primordial seed of creation (விந்து), the cosmic harvest of all experiences (விளைவு), and the transcendent truth soaring beyond scriptural verses. Transcending dry intellectual negation, the poet rejoices in an unbroken relationship of love: the Divine is the eternal Parent, Sovereign, and Supreme Master who has intimately conquered and possessed the seeker from within.

ஆழ்ந்த கருத்துரை

எண்ணற்ற பிறவிகளில் பிறந்து பிறந்து, பிறவித் துயரால் மாண்டுபோன மானிடர்கள், கிடைத்தற்கரிய இந்த மானிடப் பிறவியிலும் நெற்றியில் வெறும் திருநீற்றைப் பூசிக் கொள்வதால் மட்டுமே பிறவிப் பிணி நீங்கிவிடும் என்று தப்புக் கணக்குப் போடுவதைச் சிவவாக்கியர் எச்சரிக்கிறார். தோலில் பூசும் சாம்பல் சஞ்சித வினைகளைச் சுட்டுப் பொசுக்கிவிடாது. அருளாகிய அகநீரினால் மும்மல அழுக்குகளையும் கழுவி, உலகப் பற்றுகளையும் ஆசைகளையும் வேரறுக்க வல்லவர்க்கே உண்மையான விடுதலை கிட்டும். அவ்வாறு மனதை அடக்கிச் சுழுமுனை நாடியில் எழும் அனாஹத நாத ஓசையை (செப்பு நாத ஓசை) ஒருமுகப்பட்டு உற்றுக் கேட்கும் போது, சிவத்தின் பரம தரிசனம் தெள்ளத்தெளிவாக அகத்தே புலப்படும்.

Every birth is the same poor round: born, dead, destroyed. This birth is no different, and the ash smeared on the skin is met with an open why. The condition is exact. The gloss gives அப்பு as water: if with water one can cut the impurity and put desire away, clear seeing comes in the sound of the uttered nada. Ash is the outward mark. Water, impurity, desire, and that inner sound are the sequence the verse is willing to call sight.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar laments the tragic folly of human souls who have drifted through countless lifetimes—born, decaying, and dying in endless misery—yet continue to mechanically smear holy ash (நீறு) upon their brows in this life, believing that chalk upon the skin can confer salvation. External marks upon the forehead cannot incinerate ancient karmic debts. True purification requires bathing in the inner waters of grace (அப்பு), cleansing the mind of innate impurities (மலம்), and eradicating the fires of worldly craving. When desire is conquered and consciousness turns inward, the seeker perceives the unstruck cosmic vibration (நாத ஓசை / Anahata) resounding along the spinal column, bringing clear, direct vision of the Divine.

1எட்டுயோகம் ஆனதும் இயங்குகின்ற நாதமும்
2எட்டுஅக்க ரத்துளே உகாரமும் அகாரமும்
3விட்டலர்ந்து மந்திரம் வீணாதண்டின் ஊடுபோய்

ஆழ்ந்த கருத்துரை

அஷ்டாங்க யோகத்தின் உச்ச அனுபவமும், உள்ளே முழங்கும் நாத தத்துவமும் மனித உடலின் நரம்பு மண்டலத்தில் நிகழும் யோக சூட்சுமமே ஆகும். அஷ்டாட்சரம் (எட்டெழுத்து) மற்றும் பஞ்சாட்சரத்தின் உள்மர்மமான அகாரமும் உகாரமும் (சிவசக்தி தத்துவங்கள்), வாசியினால் தூண்டப்பட்டு வீணையின் தண்டு போன்ற முதுகுத் தண்டுவடம் (வீணாதண்டு / சுழுமுனை) வழியே மேல்நோக்கிப் பாய்கின்றன. ஒவ்வொரு சக்கரங்களின் தளங்களையும் மலரச் செய்து, கபாலத்து உச்சியை அடையும் போது, அனைத்து எழுத்துக்களும் மந்திரங்களும் ஓடுங்கி சிவாய எனும் ஏக பரவெளியில் அமர்ந்துவிடுகின்றன. அண்டத்தின் சர்வ யோகங்களும் மந்திரங்களும் பிண்ட உடலின் சுழுமுனை நாடிக்குள் இயங்கும் சிவ தத்துவமே என்பதைச் சித்தர் உள்ளங்கை நெல்லிக்கனியாய் விளக்குகிறார்.

Eight yogas and the nada that moves are set in one breath with eight letters, and inside those letters both U and A are named. A mantra that spread after leaving is said to pass along the stem of the vina, the narrow course through the body. What then sits inside the eight letters is Sivaya. The verse is a small map. Practice, sound, letter, and the instrument's neck all lead to one seated mantra, not onward to another book.

The teaching

A precise technical manual of Siddha Kundalini and Vasi yoga. The eight classical limbs of Ashtanga yoga and the vibrating current of cosmic sound (நாதம்) are integrated within the eightfold matrix (Ashtakshara / எட்டு அட்சரம்), encompassing the primal seed syllables 'U' and 'A' (the feminine and masculine cosmic principles). When ignited through meditative pranayama, this sacred mantra travels along the "Veena-danda" (வீணாதண்டு)—the human spinal column and Sushumna channel, structured like the fretboard of a vina. As the spiritual current ascends and blossoms through each psychic chakra, it permanently settles within the crown lotus as the supreme, non-dual realization of Sivaya.

இறைவனைத் தமக்கு அப்பாற்பட்ட ஒரு தனிப் பொருளாகக் கருதி, 'பிரானே! எம்பெருமானே!' என்று வாய்வலிக்கக் கூவிப் பிதற்றும் சடங்குவாதிகளைச் சிவவாக்கியர் மூடர்கள் என இடித்துரைக்கிறார். எங்கும் நீக்கமற நிறைந்த பரம்பொருள் உங்களை விட்டும், இந்த உலகத்தை விட்டும் தனித்துப் பிரிந்து நிற்பது எவ்வாறு சாத்தியமாகும்? அவனே உயிராகவும், அவனே தலைவனாகவும், இந்த விரிந்த பேருலகமாகவும் விளங்குகிறான். உங்கள் உடம்பே அந்த ஆதிப் பிரானாகிய நிலத்திலிருந்து முளைத்தெழுந்த ஒரு ஞானப் பயிராகும்! இவ்வாறு தனது உடம்பே இறைவனின் பிரிக்க முடியாத வடிவம் என்பதை உணராமல், அவனைத் தொலைதூர வானத்தில் தேடி அலையும் மனிதர்கள் பித்துப் பிடித்தவர்களே அன்றி வேறில்லை.

Lord, Lord, is called babble, and the people who say it are called fools. The question that follows is almost tender in its logic. If you leave the Lord, how did our Lord ever come to be separate? Becoming the Lord, and again the Lord, and becoming the great world itself, are one continuous claim. The body being looked out of is what sprouted and rose in him. Muttering the name holds him at a distance. The body is the evidence that there was no distance.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar rebukes the thoughtless religionists who mechanically repeat "Lord! Lord!" (பிரான் பிரான்), projecting the Divine as an external monarch residing in a distant celestial heaven. If the Divine is genuinely all-pervading, how could our Lord ever be separated from you or the universe? The Lord has become the seeker, has become the Lord, and has become the vast cosmos itself. The very physical body through which the mortal looks out and breathes is not an unclean prison, but a living sprout that has germinated and risen directly from the divine substance (பிரானிலே முளைத்தெழுந்த). To project the Lord as far away while inhabiting a body that is a direct manifestation of His being is the height of spiritual delusion.
