The going just named is now a becoming: it has become the Lord, and the bond of the bound soul is what has ceased. Impurity, the senses, and karma leave in the same breath. A fire set in a forest is asked whether wind comes and catches it. The flesh-house answers. The inner wind, once attended to, roams as one single movement.
The teaching
In a single explosive realization, the classical triad of Saiva philosophy collapses: the bound soul (pasu) and its fetters (pasa) cease to exist as separate entities, and only the supreme Lord (pati) remains. Sivavakkiyar compares this transfiguration to a wildfire swept by a furious gale in a dense forest. When the yogi concentrates the inner wind (வாசி / வாயு) within the mortal vessel of flesh (ஊனகம்), it fans the latent fire of Kundalini into an all-consuming blaze. In this yogic conflagration, the three impurities (malas), the distractions of the five senses, and the accumulated residues of karma are instantly incinerated, leaving the liberated consciousness roaming freely as one undivided light.
