The books one has met are not thrown out. They are to be known within, known again, and sung from there. Standing with clinging cut, a person reaches what is beyond even the supreme. The next line is compressed in the print: an inner room tied to an illusion already struck down, and the pride of that room to be cut and reset. Then the light stops being a visitor. It lives inside as one's own household, with no end named. Knowledge, in these lines, is a change of address.
The teaching
True scripture is not an external parchment to be mechanically memorized; it is the living truth realized continuously within the cavern of one's own being (உம்முளே உணர்ந்துணர்ந்து). Sivavakkiyar instructs the seeker to sever the bonds of worldly attachment (பற்றறுத்து) in order to touch the transcendent Reality (பராபரம்). By entering the secret inner chamber of consciousness (உள்ளறை), subduing the primordial beast of illusion (மா), and slaughtering the ego's pride, the inner temple is sanctified. In that purified space, the supreme effulgence (சோதி) does not remain an occasional visitor, but makes its eternal home within the seeker, abiding as close and natural as one's dearest family.
