The questions are about letters, and they are put to yogis who are called free of distortion. Did the sound avvu arise inside the letter a? Did uvvu arise inside the letter u? Did a and u stand with no si among them? The song does not answer. It tells those yogis to lay the matter out in full. Anyone who handles the letters of the name and keeps the parts while dropping the letter that locks them is the person being stopped and asked.
The teaching
A penetrating inquiry into the esoteric phonetics of creation and the architecture of the primordial mantra. In Siddha linguistics and Kundalini science, 'A' (Akara) represents Shiva/creation, 'U' (Ukara) represents Shakti/preservation, and 'M' (Makara) represents dissolution, comprising the sacred Omkara. Sivavakkiyar asks whether sound and its symbolic letter can be separated, and poses the crucial question: can the cosmic poles of consciousness (A) and energy (U) exist without the central, immortal seed of Pure Shivam ('Si' / சிகாரம்)? Sivavakkiyar challenges advanced yogis who boast of having conquered mental modifications (விகாரமற்ற யோகிகாள்) to unravel this supreme mystery of how the Word, the breath, and the Absolute cohere.
