Our lord, born and risen, is in the open of the sacred stage the line calls tiruvarangam. By the mouth of the serpent that was set in place, he became the four directions. As coils of three and three, after the three towns are crossed, the sound that was born and rose stands as everywhere. Direction, coil, and town are the body of that sound. The open named here is the stage the line itself gives, and the sound fills it by standing as every place.

The teaching

The supreme Lord awakens and rises within the sacred cosmic stage (திருவரங்கம் / the subtle heart-space and crown void of the practitioner). Channeled through the mouth of the coiled serpent-power (Kundalini), the divine vibration emanates into the four quarters, ordering inner and outer space. Winding through three subtle coils and piercing past the three psychic knots (the granthis of Brahma, Vishnu, and Rudra), the serpent energy ascends triumphant. Breaking through every obstacle, the primordial resonance of the letter 'A' (அவ்வினோசை / the cosmic Pranava) expands everywhere, saturating the entire universe with its omnipresent vibration.

A run of questions insists on oneness. Everywhere, is it one? The fourteen worlds, are they one? There and here, is it one? The beginningless, is it one? The burdens that stay, and what was worn, are they one? The questions are a pounding. In your share and in our share, what arose is Sivayama. The name is placed in the divided portions, so the shares people keep apart are where the one thing came up.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar unleashes a torrent of rhetorical questions asserting non-dual Advaitic oneness. Is not the Divine identically One in every single location? Are not all the fourteen cosmic worlds (ஈரேழ் லோகம்) manifestations of the One? Are not 'there' and 'here' unified? Is not the beginningless Source entirely One? Are not all stationary forms and moving beings sustained by that single essence? While ignorant mortals fracture reality into sectarian rivalries, dogmatic factions, and selfish claims of "yours" and "ours," the sacred reality of Sivayanama dawns equally within every fraction. Shiva belongs to no sect; He is the universal life pulsing through all existence.

A light dances in the sky, and that light is the root of the fire. Sky and the matching word தம்பரம் bloom when the fierce one is set in place. In a pit of the sky a limb is placed, and the printed ருக்கிட is compressed, with the sense of sitting there as it melts. In the sky, seated with the beginning, is Sivayama. Sky, fire, fierceness, and the name share one seat.

The teaching

The ecstatic Light dancing in the supreme cosmic void (அம்பரம் / Chidakasha) is the primordial root of the inner sacred fire (வன்னி / Kundalini Agni). Both the vast outer sky and the individual inner consciousness blossom when the fierce, non-dual power of Aghora (the aspect of Shiva that destroys fear and duality) is invoked. Submitting the bodily limbs and egoic consciousness into the crucible of the cranial void, the yogi melts away all physical attachments through intense internal tapas. In that very sky of transcendent awareness, enthroned alongside the eternal Source (ஆதி), the resplendent reality of Sivayanama reigns supreme.

Verse 385

An unfading flower blooms on the tongue of a bee's song. It runs, stands, takes a form, and blooms as the letter u. After dancing and dancing, the limb too is crossed so as to be held inside. What then stands gathered and goes about is the very form in which the teacher was. The guru's shape is this roaming gathering, and the unfading flower is the letter it blooms into.

The teaching

The unfading lotus of the Sahasrara blossoms within, while the mystical bee of the vital breath hums its unstruck melody on the tip of the tongue (in subtle khechari mudra). The surging prana courses upward, stabilizes in stillness, and blooms into the sacred vowel 'U' (உகாரம்)—the maternal womb of cosmic sound and divine grace. Ecstatically dancing through the subtle chakras, the practitioner transcends physical limitation and gathers all awareness inward. Harmonized in unbroken non-dual communion, the Siddha roams freely in the world, embodying the very form and presence of the primordial Satguru. The enlightened seeker no longer searches for an external master; they become the living embodiment of the Guru.

Verse 386

Three compressed questions come first. Did the foot leave and hurry? Did that root stand melted? Did the life that stood at eight, or stood cast aside, see the fourteen worlds? Does a disc-like form shine in Sadashiva? Then the sting: the people who have known the round house, will they become the gods of the sky? Knowing the inner house is set against a promotion into heaven, and the question leaves the promotion looking doubtful.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar interrogates the stages of yogic ascent with sharp Siddha irony. Did the vital breath hasten upward from the root, melting the psychic knot at the base? Did the individual soul, formerly confined to the eightfold subtle body (புரியட்டகம்), expand to perceive the totality of the fourteen cosmic worlds? Does it behold the plate-like radiant orb of Sadashiva's luminous presence at the crown? Sivavakkiyar then delivers the sting: will those who have mastered the secret circular house (வட்ட வீடு / the cranial Sahasrara sphere) merely be demoted to become petty celestial gods (வானதேவர்)? Celestial deities in svarga are still bound to cosmic rebirth. The Siddha who realizes the circular house transcends all heavens and gods, merging directly into the unconditioned Absolute.

Verse 387

The light that sky-dwellers fill is located in the human embryo. Inside all of that, the sky-gods will arrive, the sky-dwellers themselves. After the sky-realm and the earth-realm know the round house, they become rubies that fill the whole sky and endure. The gods' brightness is already in the womb, and the ruby is what remains once both realms know the inner house. Heaven is rearranged as a stone that lasts.

The teaching

The glorious Light that celestial gods inhabit does not belong exclusively to distant heavens; it is fully embedded within the human embryo (மானிடக் கரு) at conception. All the gods and cosmic forces are internalized within the human microcosm. Once the upper celestial realm (the cranial Sahasrara) and the lower earthly realm (the root Muladhara) are united through knowledge of the circular cranial house (வட்ட வீடு), the entire universe is perceived as an enduring constellation of luminous rubies. The physical body itself is transmuted into a radiant, indestructible vessel of divine consciousness, fulfilling the Siddha ideal of spiritual and bodily transfiguration.
