The wish to become a child is taken up and given conditions. Devotion has to ripen. Of the four paths that exist, the two held in mind come next, and that nearness is why the work can proceed. Fire is kindled in the root channel, that water is drunk, and through the woman whose hair is fragrant with cardamom one reaches the Lord's feet. Child, paths, fire, drink, and the inner woman are one sequence. The feet are the end of it.
The teaching
To become the immortal spiritual child of the Divine Mother, devotion cannot remain a casual sentiment; it must ripen into complete spiritual maturity (பத்தி முற்றும்). Of the four classical Saiva paths (Charya, Kriya, Yoga, Jnana), the seeker must unite the culminating two: internal Yoga and experiential Wisdom (Jnana). The esoteric alchemical process is explicitly mapped: the yogi must kindle the blazing fire of Kundalini (வன்னி மூட்டி) in the root channel (மூலநாடி / Muladhara) and drink the descending ambrosial nectar of immortality (நீர் உண / amrita) that flows from the crown. Ascending through the subtle spinal channel of the Cardamom-Fragrant Divine Mother Shakti (ஏலவார் குழலி / Sushumna), the practitioner effortlessly attains the supreme feet of Ishvara.
