The neck is straightened and a good eye is opened, the posture of someone trying hard to see. What ripened, gaped, and left is called a sin, and the sin is mocked. Then the posture is left behind. In a seed pressed firm there is something without beginning. The last line is compressed. It may sit in a letter, or in this letter; it may remain, and it does remain. The beginningless one is left in the seed, with a certainty that follows a maybe.
The teaching
Sivavakkiyar skewers those practitioners who adopt elaborate outward yogic postures—stiffening the neck, fixing the eyeballs in external gazing—while their spiritual essence rots and their lives drain away in ignorance and open-mouthed vanity True yoga does not consist of physical gymnastics or theatrical poses. Deep within the core of existence lies the firmly anchored primordial seed (அழுத்தமான வித்து), home to the beginningless, timeless Source (அனாதி). Whether experienced as the silent, unwritten Void (எழுத்திலா) or embodied in the sacred syllable, that eternal Reality is already present within the practitioner—waiting not for physical posturing, but for authentic internal realization.
