Among the high ones who sing, the dancing foot is the aim. The supreme one has set down a heap of karma with no flaw in it, so karma is not the enemy of these lines. He is the father who took the dance inside the long hall of red gold, blue at the throat, death at the throat, the eternal bridegroom. The names pile up as address. After the peeled life, this is praise, spoken to the father who dances.
The teaching
An ecstatic devotional and philosophical hymn to Shiva Nataraja. Sivavakkiyar meditates upon the uplifted lotus foot (ஆடுபாதம்) that bestows grace amidst the chorus of heavenly devas. Strikingly, the Siddha does not denounce karma as an evil; he praises the Supreme Lord for establishing the 'flawless assembly of karma' (பழுதிலாத கன்மகூட்டம்)—recognizing the cosmic law of cause and effect as an impeccable, divine mechanism designed to mature the soul. Shiva is invoked as the dancer in the golden hall of the heart (செம்பொன் அம்பலம்), the Nilakantha whose poison-stained throat conquered death itself (காலகண்டன்), and the Nitya Kalyana—the eternal, unchanging bridegroom of the awakened soul.
