The Lord who is everywhere has already entered our body. The questions follow from that. Will he stand there dealing out shares and portions? Going off to some post never brought him near. Is there a split into two, called our god and your god? Apart from the division you keep, the lines find a single truth. Sectarian speech is what produces a second one. His entering the body has already left one truth standing.
The teaching
Sivavakkiyar launches a powerful attack against sectarian bigotry and theological divisions. When the omnipresent Lord who pervades the entire cosmos has already taken up His dwelling inside this very human body, how can sectarian teachers presume to divide Him into shares, fractions, and partisan camps? God cannot be monopolized by joining a religious faction or retreating to an isolated post. The poet mocks the petty quarrels of dogmatists who argue over 'our God' versus 'your God.' In reality, there are not two separate truths; the appearance of duality is entirely an illusion created by human prejudice and sectarian division.
