Seeing comes to an end, and the singer accepts it. He has withdrawn. Nothing before and nothing after appears. What can stand holding that One is itself without a hold. Will the Lord's feet show themselves because someone has studied? Ask, with love, the people who have attained. Learning is refused as a cause of sight. Those who received it are the ones to ask, and the asking has to be affectionate.
The teaching
A magnificent testimony of non-dual realization: the mystic perceives absolutely nothing prior or subsequent to the Divine; the Lord alone fills the entirety of existence The Supreme is completely devoid of attachments (பற்று இல்லாத ஒன்று); abiding in That requires letting go of all mental clinging. Can the sacred lotus feet of Ishvara ever be reached through mere academic study and intellectual erudition (கற்றிதாலோ)? Sivavakkiyar answers with an absolute negative. If you seek authentic truth, approach with loving reverence those realized masters who have actually attained the direct experience (பெற்றபேரை அன்புடன் கேளுமே), for divine wisdom is transmitted through living communion, not dead syllables.
