Seeing comes to an end, and the singer accepts it. He has withdrawn. Nothing before and nothing after appears. What can stand holding that One is itself without a hold. Will the Lord's feet show themselves because someone has studied? Ask, with love, the people who have attained. Learning is refused as a cause of sight. Those who received it are the ones to ask, and the asking has to be affectionate.

The teaching

A magnificent testimony of non-dual realization: the mystic perceives absolutely nothing prior or subsequent to the Divine; the Lord alone fills the entirety of existence The Supreme is completely devoid of attachments (பற்று இல்லாத ஒன்று); abiding in That requires letting go of all mental clinging. Can the sacred lotus feet of Ishvara ever be reached through mere academic study and intellectual erudition (கற்றிதாலோ)? Sivavakkiyar answers with an absolute negative. If you seek authentic truth, approach with loving reverence those realized masters who have actually attained the direct experience (பெற்றபேரை அன்புடன் கேளுமே), for divine wisdom is transmitted through living communion, not dead syllables.

Verse 448

There is a time when the state you stood in, hearing, is obtained. Then the withering confusion of the principles is removed. The house becomes open space. Brightness comes and meets you. Fire and wind, joined, leave the pot and raise it. The pot is the body, and the house is also the word for release. Hearing, the fading of categories, an opened interior, and fire rising with wind are one occasion.

The teaching

When the seeker attains that exalted state of conscious listening and inner receptivity, the exhausting, withering delusions of cosmic principles and metaphysical categories (தத்துவ மயக்கம்) are instantly dispelled. The "house" (வீடு / both the physical body and the state of spiritual liberation) opens out into the boundless, luminous Void (வெளி), and the radiant Light of Truth meets the seeker face-to-face. By uniting the inner fire (வன்னி / Kundalini) and the vital breath (மாருதம் / Prana), the awakened spiritual power breaks free from the earthen vessel of the mortal body (குயம்) and surges upward into the limitless sky of transcendental freedom.

Verse 449

  1. 1Ezhuppi muulanaadiyai idhappaduththa laagumo
  2. 2Mazhuppilaadha sapaiyainiir valiththuvaanga valliireel
  3. 3Suzhuththiyum kadandhupoy soppanaththil appuram
  4. 4Azhuththior ezhuththulee amaippadhuunmai aiyanee.

The closing question is practical and doubtful. Raise the root channel, and can it be settled as a petal? The condition is force on an assembly that will not go blunt, if you can draw that sabha to you. The sequence crosses deep sleep and afterward stands in dream, the order the print gives. Pressed into one letter, what is set there is the truth, and the line names Aiyan. The raised channel is the work.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar concludes this section with the pinnacle of Siddha esoteric yoga. Raising the Kundalini through the central root channel (மூலநாடி) is not a violent feat, but a delicate, graceful blossoming. If the yogi possesses the spiritual power to draw near to the unshakeable, pristine assembly of Consciousness (மழுப்பிலாத சபை), they must cross beyond waking, dream (சொப்பனம்), and deep dreamless sleep (சுழுத்தி), entering the transcendent realms of Turiya and Turiyatita. By condensing and pressing their entire awareness into the singular Primal Seed-Letter (ஓர் எழுத்துளே அழுத்தி அமைப்பது / Omkara or the esoteric Sivayanama), the seeker establishes the unshakeable, living Truth of divine identity, realizing the Supreme Master within.

Verse 450

  4. 4Thollaiyaam vinaividenru thuura thuuram aanadhee.

Spirit and solid body are put to one claim: there is nothing else. The state named here joins a person to the feet of the good Lord, and to the Lord as well. If the love that stays inside, and the breath one labors over, are made to ache, the karma that has been a long torment is told to leave. It becomes far. The next song opens on that same going.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar establishes that ultimate liberation is neither abstract intellectualism nor a rejection of the physical vessel. Instead, body (பொருளுடல்) and vital spirit (ஆவி) are unified in an uncompromising non-dual realization that "there is nothing else" (அல்லதில்லை). When devotion is turned inward with unceasing love and combined with the rigorous discipline of Vasi yoga—churning the breath through the central spinal nadi—the primordial weight of sanchita karma is dissolved. The tormenting karmic imprint cannot survive the heat of internal breath mastery; it is commanded to depart and vanishes into infinite distance, leaving the seeker in inseparable communion with the feet of the inner Lord.

  4. 4Uunagaththil vaayuunni onriyee ulaavumee.

The going just named is now a becoming: it has become the Lord, and the bond of the bound soul is what has ceased. Impurity, the senses, and karma leave in the same breath. A fire set in a forest is asked whether wind comes and catches it. The flesh-house answers. The inner wind, once attended to, roams as one single movement.

The teaching

In a single explosive realization, the classical triad of Saiva philosophy collapses: the bound soul (pasu) and its fetters (pasa) cease to exist as separate entities, and only the supreme Lord (pati) remains. Sivavakkiyar compares this transfiguration to a wildfire swept by a furious gale in a dense forest. When the yogi concentrates the inner wind (வாசி / வாயு) within the mortal vessel of flesh (ஊனகம்), it fans the latent fire of Kundalini into an all-consuming blaze. In this yogic conflagration, the three impurities (malas), the distractions of the five senses, and the accumulated residues of karma are instantly incinerated, leaving the liberated consciousness roaming freely as one undivided light.

Verse 452

  1. 1Ulaavum uvvum avvumaay udhiththadarndhu ninradhum
  2. 2Ulaaviaim pulangalum orudhalaththu irundhidum
  3. 3Nilaavumangu neesamaagi ninrum amudhamundudhaam
  4. 4Ulaavum engal iisanaik kuriththunarndhu kumbidee.

Roaming, just asserted of the inner wind, is now both the near and the far, and also what arose, followed, and stood. The five senses that wander are told they will sit in one place. There the moon turns into love, and nectar is drunk. The close is an order: mark our roaming Lord, know him, and bow.

The teaching

Sivavakkiyar reveals the culmination of Vasi yoga, where the dual currents of breath represented by the mystical seed-letters 'A' and 'U' (Ida and Pingala) are gathered into the central channel. The chaotic, outward-wandering senses are harnessed and permanently anchored in a single inner station—the crown center. Here, in the mystic cranial realm, the cooling lunar disc (சந்திர மண்டலம்) radiates with love, showering the nectar of immortality (அமுதம்) upon the awakened soul. True adoration (கும்பிடு) is not a mechanical ritual performed before an external idol, but the luminous inward recognition of the vibrant, moving Divine who dances within the subtle body.
